El Paredon Guatemala

El Naranjo Wildlife Tour: 3 hours

El Naranjo Wildlife Tour: 3 hours

Discover the reserve’s amazing diversity of wildlife with our 3-hour El Naranjo Wildlife Tour. This tour begins in the vibrant village of El Naranjo, situated at the head of the reserve, where we launch our kayaks into the narrow upper section of the estuary.

In silence and with eyes wide open, there is a great chance of spotting a wide variety of water birds, as well as turtles, boas, iguanas and even sea otters in this almost unreal landscape. As we continue paddling through the dense mangroves towards the middle sections of the estuary, the channel widens, providing a gentle paddle glide all the way to El Paredón.

This is one of our longer paddling tours (9.5km) and is perfect for keen paddlers and wildlife lovers. A minimum of 2 people per tour is required.

The cost per person is Q275, which includes transfers to El Naranjo, guide, life jackets, dry bag and soft drinks.

* This tour is tide dependent so advance registration is essential for optimal tide conditions. Advance booking is required.
